We are mission-driven and only take on work that has a positive social impact. Lushomo is growing steadily, and together we are becoming leaders in information design and research communication.

We are currently looking to add an experienced traffic manager to our team.

The right person will have to be supremely organised, flexible and able to work well under pressure within a small team.

This is a full-time flexi-time position. We expect you to work Monday to Friday, 9am-1pm and then the rest of the hours to be distributed in a way that includes earlier mornings, evening sessions, and weekend sessions. The exact schedule will change weekly, according to our workload and your preferences.

The role involves:

  • Sourcing, hiring, onboarding and training of people to work on our projects. This is primarily freelance capacity, which we regularly seek out to fill capacity and expertise gaps in design, development, project management, video, editing, etc.
  • Maintaining talent rosters, capacity planning, schedules, and other traffic management resources for both internal staff and external resources
  • Helping account managers find the resources they need to deliver on their project plans
  • Working to identify, and then lead implementation of, improvements to our traffic management systems and processes
  • Managing your own projects, depending on our workload

The applicant should:

  • Have 3+ years of experience as a traffic manager at a creative agency
  • Have some experience in traditional project management activities such as planning, delegating and delivering to time and budget.
  • Have excellent coordination and organisational skills; you should find it energising to multitask and thrive in a role requiring consistent juggling
  • Have excellent writing and communication abilities in English.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working with collaborators around the world from diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Be able to think at the systems level, to identify and steer ways of continually optimising our systems for traffic management
  • Be an adaptable team player and enjoy working in a collaborative environment.

Here’s what you would get out of it:

  • Experience working with international organisations. The majority of our clients are from major intergovernmental agencies including the UN and OECD
  • Be part of a friendly, engaged and supportive team
  • Freedom to work from anywhere and to flexibly structure your own daily and weekly schedule according to project priorities
  • Become part of a successful team, growing year on year

This is a full-time, permanent position. It is highly desirable that the candidate have somewhat flexible working hours, able to work occasional evenings and weekends to respond to project needs and resources in different time zones.
