Infographic PowerPoint summary of study results on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in South Africa
In 2020, the Baseline Study on the Destination of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College Graduates in South Africa was conducted to better understand graduates' pathways and the effectiveness of TVET programmes in bridging the gap between education and work. The research was supported by the Capacity Building Programme for Employment Promotion (CBPEP), a multi-sector initiative that had contracted Lushomo as a long-term communications partner at this time.
The brief
For the TVET study, our role was to develop a series of infographic visuals to communicate the key findings. The goal was to create a lively and impactful presentation that would allow for broader dissemination of the report insights, and make the data more shareable for stakeholders in the education and employment sectors.
Our approach
For ease of use at events and in other formats, we designed a PowerPoint presentation that combined data-driven infographics, icons and photography to highlight key takeaways and guide the audience through employment trends, gender representation, and regional mobility patterns among TVET graduates.
Visual language
The presentation features a bright but limited colour palette–relying mainly on the contrasting aqua and coral from the CBPEP brand identity we developed at the programme outset. Clean iconography and carefully selected photographs add a human element and reinforce the real-world impact of the findings.
The deliverables
In addition to designing the technical study document itself, we created an infographic-rich PowerPoint summary, designed to support the dissemination of the key findings.
