Vaccine Impact Dashboard
Available vaccines need strengthening to combat Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), making it essential to track and analyse their effectiveness against known pathogens for global health planning. The Vaccine Impact Dashboard allows users to search, filter and visualise the impact of various WHO-evaluated vaccines across specific criteria and focus on individual indicators linked to AMR.
The brief
As part of a multi-deliverable project with WHO we were asked to create a visual identity and design a new report entitled Estimating the impact of vaccines in reducing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and antibiotic use, as well as a range of summary reports, and social media assets. In parallel we were asked to optimise and redesign an existing draft dashboard to make it more usable, practical and visual.
Our approach
To ensure consistency across products, we developed a cohesive design approach for the entire project. We then conducted a thorough UX assessment of the existing draft dashboard and completely reimagined its structure and use, while applying the visual identity for consistency.
Visual language
The visual identity is incorporated into the dashboard through the use of gradients, icons, strong typography and liberal use of negative space.
The deliverables
The main deliverable was the redesigned online dashboard, which allows users to view data in three different ways, and to filter by vaccine, pathogen, and region to gain insights on the impact of various vaccines on antimicrobial resistance.
