World TB Day campaign 2024 and 2025
Each year, World Tuberculosis (TB) Day is commemorated to raise awareness and share information on the global impact of TB, and the new developments in research, policy and technology that are helping to address this public health challenge.
The brief
Lushomo’s role was to create a series of multi-media materials for use in the WHO World TB Day Campaign, in line with the theme “Yes! We Can End TB!”. The aim was to communicate a hopeful, positive message, while still sharing the serious considerations and facts.
Our approach
We began by exploring a range of visual concepts to find an identity that was lively enough for social media, but still educational and technical where required. A key focus of the campaign was accessibility and inclusivity, with careful attention given to translation and localisation of all materials, in line with global commitments to accelerate progress to end TB.
Visual language
A series of colourful, stylised characters bring the physical consequences of TB to life, alongside the available testing and treatment options. These characters effectively capture the spirit of the campaign, while simultaneously illustrating medical concepts and key action points.
The deliverables
The overall visual identity was applied to a range of campaign materials, including a series of static and animated social media tiles, posters, web banners, a communications toolkit and a screensaver.
